He lives in Zambia where together with Kirsten Gottenkieny runs the lodge “Track & Trail River Camp”. This is a small and personal lodge in a beautiful location on the banks of the Luangwa River. The base for the safaris in South Luangwa covering the whole of the Luangwa Valley of Zambia, including Luambe National Park and North Luangwa National Park. Accompanied by your experienced professional safari guide/nature photographer traveling with him in a specially equipped for the photographic safari open 4×4 safari vehicles.
The workshop is for beginners and seasoned professionals with max. 4 traveller in order to provide optimum comfort and visibility. Your accommodation, Track & Trail River Camp is situated near the main entrance on the banks of the Luangwa just a few minutes from the main entrance of the South Luangwa National Park. A prime location to photograph leopards, lions and elephants and other animal species in a varied landscape of dense shrubs, ebony woods and dry riverbeds. This makes shooting more creative and offers a unique wildlife experience that you will find it nowhere else. All participants need a digital SLR camera, bring a laptop computer and software for organizing and presenting images. Dates are flexible on request from May-December and the schedule is flexible to allow for spontaneous photographic opportunities. Price is per person per night and includes: accommodation, laundry, meals, tea and coffee, two game drives per day in its own open vehicle, park entrance fees, Mfuwe airport transfers, conservation fee, taxes and fees.
